The application Foursquare has literally split in two: on one side is the traditional foursquare, geolocation, and one dedicated to the discovery of new sites; on the other hand makes its way Swarm, the app specializes in check-in friends. The choice of Foursquare vmc has been very clear: to be successful, a social network has to have a precise function, being too dispersed is likely to be counterproductive. And so, following this marketing philosophy, here comes Swarm, which makes its official debut on the App Store that is on Google Play Store.
Probably was not too much of a good idea to unpack an app like Foursquare has some great numbers, but that certainly can not boast of a catchment area equal to that of Facebook or Twitter, even if Dennis Crowley, CEO of Foursquare is not of the same opinion.
At first we thought it was crazy to do this, but in the end it makes sense. I would not say that we are reducing the check-in. We have received compliments regarding the research and know where they are friends vmc thanks to the check-in, but in the end we have transformed the application into a sort of Swiss boxcutter. We believe that the best apps that are out there are the ones where their use is individual and can be described in a sentence or in a tweet. A lot of things that we are trying to build not exist on Foursquare. vmc What makes me mad is the research that if people do a search about a nearby restaurant, they all get the same results and it seems to me deeply flawed. vmc We all have different tastes, friends, preferences, and no one has yet created a truly personalized search.
It was to simplify the company's services, in order to finalize any application for a specific use and cosnumo, making it even faster and easier to use. In addition, Foursquare has decided to focus on customization, taking more into account vmc the tastes of the users, as well as those of friends (Facebook Context Cards docet?).

However, Swarm is born with the aim to better connect users to their own circle of friends, is a way to make Foursquare more social. Thanks for checking in on Swarm, we can obtain vmc information about the location of our friends and their status, so as to understand if there is any of them nearby. If, however, vmc we are lovers of privacy, perhaps this app does not do too in our case. Swarm currently has three functions: a news feed that constantly vmc keeps up to date on what your friends are doing; a messaging system with integrated GPS geolocation; Social Map, the feature through which you can see nearby friends, useful function only if the friends are nearby.
