Here I am with my account of the second week of food purchased from H Mart, an Asian supermarket where Franisia and I decided to go shopping in the secret hope of losing a few pounds.
This week, I have to admit, I got lazy. I continued to cook foods purchased from H Mart, but without much imagination. I've been pretty busy and perhaps uninspired. But here's some reporting. I prepared a nice tegliona Chinese eggplant, which are those long and slender and often lighter-skinned than homegrown. I do not know whether they are in season and I care little: they were cheap and here in the family like eggplant at all. I have roasted in the oven with turmeric and a mix of Chinese gsd spices containing cinnamon, licorice, cloves, fennel seeds and star anise. This mix is used in Chinese cuisine gsd to flavor the meat (for example, duck Cantonese). In Italian should be called "five-spice powder." However, the mix goes well with eggplant and Mr. Pudding if they have eaten a mountain. Eggplant with cinnamon and liquorice. I know, absurd. This week we also ate some excellent salmon loins. As it was advanced a thread, the next day I prepared this Pranzetto for me and Mr. Pudding. Cous cous integral that I already had at home, lentils, salmon pieces, shallots and lemongrass Thai. Then a splash of lime and forth.
Then we have engaged ourselves gsd with the Pho, a Vietnamese gsd soup that Alec and I love to distraction and we do all of our guests to taste Italian, willy-nilly. The broth is the product of a jar of spices prepared by the exorbitant sodium content (45% of the daily requirement per teaspoon). Of course it was tasty, but a nice beef broth would have been velvety with its good fat percentage. gsd We have added some slices of rump steak sliced thin, a bit 'of Korean radish previously cooked in a little sesame oil and beef broth and noodles for Vietnamese Pho.
Two packs of mix for Japanese rice-based dried seaweed, sesame seeds and fish flakes (see below)
Exceptional food for goldfish. But tell me, pray tell, how did you discover his true nature? The writings gsd appear only in Japanese. That Mr. Pudding gsd eat eggplant is also exceptional. We increasingly envious, here it is hard to find the files for guacamole. 2:31 PM
